Let’s be real: IT challenges are getting tougher than a two-dollar steak. At X10 Technologies, we’re the national systems integrator who walks into that complexity and says, “Hold our coffee.”
We are the trusted advisors for organizations who want to operate not just securely, but ahead of the curve. Our secret sauce? A relentless focus on cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and managed services, delivering outcome driven solutions that actually make a difference.
We don't do short-term flings; we build long-term partnerships anchored in technical mastery. If you're looking for a place that doesn't just deliver solutions but actively powers transformation, welcome home.
We don’t just fix IT problems; we make them wish they’d never shown up.
Role Overview
We need a Network Mastermind.
Are you ready to transcend the typical engineering gig? At X10 Technologies, we don't just build networks; we architect the digital backbone that powers transformation for our clients.
As our Senior Network Engineer, you won't just be a ticket-closer; you'll be a strategic powerhouse and the subject-matter expert (SME) guiding our entire network and security professional services team. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you are the pivotal force responsible for designing, securing, and implementing advanced infrastructures that truly redefine efficiency.
If the network is down, we want you to be the one who whispers sweet nothings (and solid commands) to the router until it sings.
Key Responsibilities
Your Epic Quest Log
1. Project Delivery: Building the Future, One Protocol at a Time
You are the chief builder. Your mission is to deliver successful outcomes for complex projects, from start to finish.
• Deliver project outcomes, including assessment, design, deployment, advisory, and optimization of complex network infrastructure, including switches, routers, access points, firewalls, network security policies/profiles, and SD-WAN.
• Delivery technical advisory outcomes, including conducting and/or leading network assessments, developing technical roadmaps, and executing or advising on performance tuning.
2. Managed Services: The Guardian of Uptime
You keep the lights on and the data flowing, ensuring our managed services clients are always thrilled.
• Provide managed service support activities including handling tickets for network systems and application software, routine reporting, and customer engagement tasks within service level agreements.
• Assess requirements, provide support, and enable ongoing network managed services client satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to in-scope network hardware and software.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory of in-scope customer equipment.
3. Pre-Sales: The Closer (With Technical Depth)
You bridge the gap between "what the client wants" and "what the client actually needs."
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and develop specific, tailored, and achievable solutions.
• Assist in pre-sales activities including solution design, proposal writing, and presentations to clients.
• Balance the number of hours logged into opportunities justified by the financial value of the opportunity against the required effort, quality, and speed of delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their ongoing needs and act as a trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with Service Managers, Practice Leads, and vendor Solution Engineers to maintain awareness of market trends, competitive solutions, and client success strategies.
4. Departmental Advisory: Leading the Charge
This is where you earn your "Senior" title—by elevating the whole team.
• Provide input to the Service Manager for the Network Practice Area’s goals, performance expectations, and requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship for other technical staff within the Network Practice Area.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and troubleshooting expertise to Network Engineers.
• Collaborate with senior management to align the Network Practice Area’s strategies with organizational goals.
• Work with other departments to ensure alignment and support for cross-functional projects and services.
• Provide assistance in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to enable successful project delivery.
• Achieve and maintain certifications as directed by the Service Manager.
• Identify training and certification requirements and collaborate with Service Manager to assign training activities to appropriate Network Engineers.
5. Internal Support: Powering Our Engine
You ensure X10's own house is the most technically robust on the block.
• Develop and maintain documentation for X10 Technologies systems architecture, configurations, and procedures.
• Implement and manage features within X10 Technologies IT and cloud systems, labs, servers, and storage environments, ensuring all solutions comply with regulations, security standards and best practices.
• Provide technical assistance for internal and marketing events.
